Vice Admiral Rinosuke Ichimaru, and Harumi Okochi, the 4th generation Okami (Proprietress) of the Ryokan "Yoyokaku" in Karatsu, who has continued to pass down the story of the Ichimaru family, along with the support of many volunteers.
On behalf of the State of Japan, they have undertaken the recording and succession of war records, historical facts, and the truth, continuing to protect, reclaim, and maintain them even now.
I express my deepest respect to Haruko Ichimaru, the eldest daughter of the late Vice Admiral Rinosuke Ichimaru and Sueko-san, as well as to Harumi Okochi, the 4th generation Okami of "Yoyokaku," and to all the volunteers and related parties for their dedicated efforts.
Against a history that the State has processed as "abstract numbers," these two individuals have defended the dignity of Vice Admiral Ichimaru as
