Hello, Dear MY Friend and To Whom It May Concern everyone,

How are you all spending your day today, March 11th?

For me, today is a day of prayer that I will never forget as long as I live. ☆

It was on this day, 15 years ago, that my precious friend YOKO-chan and her daughter KANOKO, 

who was only six years old at the time, were caught in the TSUNAMI  in ISHINOMAKI 

IWATE prefecture  　IN　JAPAN　 and departed for the heavens.

If she were alive today, Kanoko would have turned 21 this year.

She should have been welcoming a radiant spring as a young woman.

I am quietly offering prayers for the repose of the many precious souls who were lost along with them on THAT DAY .

If it is possible, at some point during this day,

could you please LOOK UP at The SKY, even for a brief moment, and join your hands in prayer for them?

I believe that even a single second of prayer will ride the wind and reach them.

Even if you cannot do so today,

tomorrow, the day after, or even 5 or 10 years from now would be fine.

I would be deeply grateful if you could just look up at the sky for a moment and offer a prayer, even for just one second. ☆

I hope that your day today is a peaceful one.☆

Fifteen years ago today, I was in the final, busiest stage of construction for a shop in TAKADANOBABA IN TOKYO.

With the opening scheduled for March 18th, I was selecting materials when a violent tremor struck.

Amidst the chaos, I managed to secure the materials, and in a desperate effort to confirm the safety of the An important fellow craftsman

and Everyone involved, I raced on my bicycle from Nishi-Ogikubo-Suginami-Ku to  TAKADANOBABA-SHINJUKU-KU.

All communication was cut off, but fortunately, I was able to confirm that Everyone was SAFE, and we continued working until late that night.

It was only after I finally returned home and saw the devastation of the TSUNAMI on the internet that I was struck by a shock beyond words.

I kept trying to contact my dear friend YOKO-chan and her six-year-old daughter KANOKO in ISHINOMAKI, but more than six months passed without a reply.

In the end, I learned of their passing through a television news report.

In the midst of that sorrow, the shop in TAKADANOBABA opened as planned on March 18th and became a great success.

Even in despair, 

those were days when I felt with my whole being the weight of

 "living life to the fullest without regrets"

 and

 "continuing to pass on the stories of the countless tragic deaths."

If she were alive today, KANOKO would have reached adulthood and be 21 years old.

She should have been welcoming a radiant spring as a young woman.

I offer a quiet prayer of repose for the many precious souls lost on that day.

If you would be so kind, at some point during this day, 

Could you please LOOK UP at THE SKY for even a moment and join your hands in prayer for them?

I believe that even a single second of prayer will ride the wind and reach them. ☆

I am sure each of you has your own story from that day.

My greatest wish is for all of you to stay healthy and HAPPY. ☆
